ATI TEAS Test: Canandaigua

The ATI Test of Essential Academic Skills (ATI TEAS®) measures basic essential skills in the academic content area domains of reading, mathematics, science, and English and language usage. Submitting an ATI TEAS® (Test of Essential Academic Skills) score is a requirement for applying to FLCC’s A.A.S. Nursing degree program — a minimum score of 65% is required for acceptance into the program. The testing site or proctor will automatically submit your results from the ATI TEAS® exam to FLCC’s Admissions Office immediately following the completion of the exam session.

THIS IS THE IN-PERSON VERSION.  The test will be taken on a desktop computer, on-site at an FLCC computer lab.  Please arrive thirty minutes before testing begins.  Individuals must present a valid state/govt. issued photo ID.  No personal electronic items will be allowed into the testing area.  Calculators are embedded within the on-line exam.  A ten minute break will take place during the testing event.

If you identify yourself as a student with a disability and request testing accommodations you must contact the office at (585) 785-1670 ASAP!

WHAT DOES AN HVAC/R TECHNICIAN DO?

Heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) technicians, also called installers or mechanics, work on the systems that control the temperature, humidity, and quality of the air in our homes, workplaces, and all other types of buildings.

DO HVAC/R TECHNICIANS NEED A CERTIFICATION?

Many states require that HVAC/R technicians have a license before they are able to work independently. NATE and HVAC Excellence certifications are widely recognized both in the field and by customers seeking service.

DOES THIS COURSE PREPARE ME FOR CERTIFICATION?

Yes. This HVACR Technician Certification course will prepare you for the HVAC Excellence Core and Professional Technician certifications exams, the NATE Core and Specialty Test certification exams, and the EPA Section 608 certification exam.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO COMPLETE A CERTIFIED HVACR TECHNICIAN COURSE?

This Certified HVAC/R Technician course can be completed in 12 months or less and it will help you:

  • Build a strong foundation of HVACR service, repair, and maintenance
  • Prepare to sit for the NATE certification exams

The Residential Electrician course is designed to teach you the fundamental skills needed to work with residential electrical systems—no previous experience is required. Residential electrician training prepares you for electrician licensing tests, generally required by most states and localities. While tests differ, you will need to understand the common situations in electrical work, including the use of the National Electrical Code®, local electrical codes, circuits, and various types of wiring methods.

Please check with your state, county, or city for residential electrician licensing rules and whether this course's hours will be accepted for licensing. *Our Residential Electrician course does not count towards getting a Massachusetts Electrician license.

Learn Welding through the use of classroom instruction, Miller's Augmented Reality (AR) Training, and actual welding shop time. During this 150 hour program you will learn shop safety, Metallurgy, Introduction to Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), Plasma Arc Welding (PAW) & Gas Welding, Blueprint Reading for Welders, Professional Skills and complete understanding of the 3 basic types of welding: 

- MIG Welding (Metal Inert Gas Welding) (GMAW) 

- TIG Welding (Tungsten Inert Gas Arc Welding) (GTAW) 

- Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) 

Upon successful completion students will obtain Miller Certifications in GMAW, GTAW, and SMAW with preparation for AWS (American Welding Society) Testing Certification.
