Calendar Feb 12, 2026 at 6 pm, runs for 2 weeks

Instructor Bill Pealer will introduce community members to 3D printing. Students will be introduced to fused filament fabrication (FFF), including various printer types, set up and calibration, plastics, slicing software, and where to find free 3D files to print. Participants should have a core competency in Windows or Mac computer use, including experience with ink jet printers, digital media, and Microsoft Office products.

Students will learn how to do the following things on a retail 3D Printer:

In Class 1, 1. assemble and calibrate, 2. test print, 3. troubleshoot a varriety of common problems, 4. clear nozzle jams and rebuild the hot end.

In Class 2, 1. Install Slicing Software, 2. Be exposed to concepts and settings in the slicing application.

Class begins April 11, 2024.
