Candle-Making Workshop

In this class, you'll learn the fundamentals of working with natural soy wax — from melting and blending to scenting and pouring. The ATI Test of Essential Academic Skills (ATI TEAS®) measures basic essential skills in the academic content area domains of reading, mathematics, science, and English and language usage. Submitting an ATI TEAS® (Test of Essential Academic Skills) score is a requirement for applying to FLCC’s A.A.S. Nursing degree program — a minimum score of 65% is required for acceptance into the program. The testing site or proctor will automatically submit your results from the ATI TEAS® exam to FLCC’s Admissions Office immediately following the completion of the exam session.

ATI TEAS Test Info

THIS IS THE IN-PERSON VERSION.  The test will be taken on a desktop computer, on-site at an FLCC computer lab.  Please arrive thirty minutes before testing begins.  Individuals must present a valid state/govt. issued photo ID.  No personal electronic items will be allowed into the testing area.  Calculators are embedded within the on-line exam.  A ten minute break will take place during the testing event.

Chair Caning Workshop

Calendar Apr 7, 2026 at 6 pm, runs for 6 weeks

Discover the art of chair caning: in this class, participants will bring their own chair to hand-cane and learn the fundamentals of chair caning. The class will involve the seven-step process to complete a chair from chair preparation to selecting the right size cane for the chair and completion of the process with binder cane.

Participants will be required to provide the following for the class:

  1. A single chair to be hand caned.
  2. Tools required: awl, scissors/clippers, and a small tack hammer
  3. Wooden pegs (supplied for early class)

Once crane size is determined for chair, an amount will be required for purchase.

Refunds will be processed for those students who officially cancel their registration by contacting the Workforce and Career Solutions office five business days prior to the date of test.
